the goal of physics is to describe the maximum number of things going on in our universe in terms of the minimum number of general principles. Furthermore, these principles should be as simple as possible.

In most physics courses, the primary source of your information is the textbook.

After the class on that topic, carefully reread the appropriate sections of the textbook. "Carefully" means sentence by sentence, being sure that you understand sentence 93 before going on to sentence 94, for example.

Verbalizing the words that are used for the quantities in a relationship helps to embed the meaning of that relationship in your brain.

Pay careful attention to the definitions of new terms in the chapter and learn them. Don't just memorize them, understand them! Some things can't be derived from simpler ideas; they are defined and you just have to remember them.

As you study, remember that there are only a few basic principles that you need to know. It is a waste of your time and energy to clutter either your mind or your
notecard with every equation in the textbook. There are only a few that are fundamental. They are the ones to understand thoroughly-- both what they mean and how to apply them. In most textbooks, each chapter is centered around one or two main ideas. Work at picking them out and understanding them.

In physics, perhaps more than in any other subject, it is necessary to develop an ability to analyze problems, to reason logically, and to discriminate between important and irrelevant material. Consequently, efforts to memorize physics are practically worthless. For most students physics involves many new concepts. To master the material takes work, and that takes time.

When you study, really study. Much of your time may be lost in slipshod thinking, daydreaming, following blind alleys of thought, and just plain loafing. Probably you have experienced times when your process of learning was very easy and rapid. Try to figure out how this happened and then try to duplicate the occurrence.

I'ts better to know a few things, and know them very well, than to know a little about everything but not much about anything.

5月28日，陈冠希到电台录音，顺便展现绘画天份，由于之前在非洲拍摄音乐录影带时找了豹等动物入镜，电台也特别商借总价值120万元的四只豹猫作为陈冠希作画的灵感，只是很爱动物的陈冠希特别挑了价值50万名叫“LV”的豹猫抱在身上玩耍，还忍不住的亲了豹猫，没有想到5分钟不到，陈冠希竟严重过敏，一开始只是脖子红肿发痒，之后连上嘴唇都肿大，变成雷公嘴，虽然如此，很爱动物的陈冠希还是表示：“豹猫真的超可爱，想买一只来养！”抱豹猫姿势略显生疏的陈冠希，让豹猫在他身上扭来扭去，当主持人建议陈冠希以抱小孩的方式抱猫时，陈冠希却表示：“自己从没抱过小孩，因为担心会会把Baby摔死”。　　

陈冠希还当场展现绘画天份，以豹猫作为灵感，在T恤与鞋子上大胆以豹猫的纹路作为绘画题材，简单的几笔就画出味道，爱动物的他更在现场呼吁民众一定要爱护动物，绝对不要滥杀动物，特别是保育类动物。记者会上，陈冠希一改以往的偶像形象，除了手环是卡地亚，身上穿的都是自己设计的品牌，脚上则是配上拖鞋，走随性路线，以一身休闲装扮与媒体见面陈冠希表示：“其实自己私下都穿得很休闲，每天都这样穿，这次来台宣传工作感觉非常自在，因此服装也就跟着休闲了起来。”就连在绘画时，陈冠希也轻松地将鞋子脱掉，主持人阿娟开他玩笑把电台当作自己家，到是很认真作画的陈冠希因为太过专注而满头大汗，但仍不改习惯不自觉的频吐舌头.

对于自己的绘画作品，陈冠希觉得差强人意，他说，如果给他多一点时间或是让他使用电脑进行图案的设计，成果应该会更令人满意。只是到台湾的第一个通告就因为猫而过敏，让视工作很重要的陈冠希有些担心会影响工作进度，不时向工作人员询问，而这个突发性的过敏更是吓坏工作人员，先是带陈冠希到厕所用清水清洗豹猫的地方，包括手肘与脖子，之后还有冰块冰敷红肿的地方，最后更找来万能化妆师，一面进行消肿的处理，一面也针对稍晚的电视通告进行补妆，还临时暂停一切的宣传工作让陈冠希休息，也取消原定的电子媒体的专题与平面媒体的连访时间。

for those who joined for more years, ur didn't even bloody bother to promote them! yet promote those who are younger....okay, you may argue that ur promote by how much contributions they made or who has more potential, but what about those with irregular attendance? come as they may and ur just allow that without punishing or whatever shit them. ur rather scold those who come regularly & whom ur do not really like!!! Ask others to help ur do things when ur student leaders don't wanna come & yet didn't also bother! SEE?

i know my overall mid-yr results will not turn out well. i know i will flunk my geo (99.999%), which i could even fail my CH or just pass including SS. Amath paper 2 today i know i will also not do well, cos I know that some qns i really don't know how to do. first qns, BLANK. 3 marks. qns 2, leave 1 blank, 1 mark. & whatever behind some of the qns lo. don't know how to do or did halfway tio stuck. whatever is the whatever.

the most sian-zest geo paper i've ever taken. flipped & flipped, seeing what qns i could do. the most marks, 12, couldn't do. yeah...i read on manufacturing & environmental. also couldn't do. so, me being discouraged already, i laid on my table & closed my eyes...hoping for a miracle....(yala, ur head la)

left with 3 more sciences to go...& 1 amath paper left. MY LAST HOPE. can i? doubt so...wahaha.

yeah...let's slack for a little longer...enjoy a little more....so we have more motivation for the prelims & O lvl. you don't want also must want already at that time.

i am so suay that i did not study edu for ss. argh...suay suay suay la! lol. studied for public housing but none came out! driving me nuts. tsk.

emath was quite okay actually, altho i know i lose more than 6 marks already...lalala~ wth.
no. pattern lo...i dunno why i wrote k^k=81, thus k=9. altho the answer was correct cos i didnt actually use the formula first but just plus & plus & plus. then i try to work out the formula then this happened lo. think overall the answer was wrong. the length of BC i also wrong....which is worth 2-3 marks...recurring decimal tt qns i didnt simplify so -1 mark. the rest i dunno got careless mistakes or i do wrong anot la...the sketching of graphs also abit...-.-
so we think the paper 2 will be more tough...since paper 1 was quite okay..but who knows.

arghh....and i dunno how to study for geo...got tourism,agri/manu (so many parts), devt/environmental, mapreading. agri gt so many parts so how am i going to know where to study, dun tell me to study all hor, if not im really an idiot. lol. hahahhaaha...opps, no offence.
very stressed la....so many things to study....and i sort of will forget also de leh...sianz.

having difficult sleeps at nights........so i think i have to turn in early...keep on turning & turning....argghhhh. and i got flu...dunno why sometimes very hot but my body inside will feel cold then sneeze.
