FIRE INCIDENT

I was playing my computer and chatting on the Messenger when I heard that something had happened. I thought it was some people jumping off from either mine or the opposite block. So, I went to my window there to see what the matter was. I saw nobody lying on the floor but people from a faraway distance gathering together......

My mother said there was a fire from the 11th block (wth. just 2 floors above us? nah. not true) Then, I quickly signed out my MSN and went straight downstairs without taking the lift. (you shld know why, got fire leh, take lift ltr stuck..haha) After that, we ran to the opposite block where the crowd gathered. Of course there were some others dispersed and nucleated, or people gazing down from outside their flats.

The fire actually came from the 2nd storey which is the other side of my block. I could see dark column of billowing smoke. I gaped with amazement at the spectacle presented by the burning flat. The fire was raging. Not long after, the 2 fire engines arrived. One back and front of the block. At that moment, I thought the firefighters were so brave because they risk their lives to put out the fire...

Actually, the impeller water pump first pump out the water from the diesel engine which is just beside the jumpseat area on the fire engine into the flat. Until the fire gets smaller, the firefighters then went in to spray streams of water to put up the fire. But before that, they were already up there at the 2nd storey but I don't know what they were doing down there....haha.

The fire lit up the whole flat. Finally, the blaze died down and there was a total darkness inside the flat. I was relieved but quite upset that the malay family had their flat burnt...this meant all their things are gonnee...but lives are more important yea..the column of the flat there were black...maybe the flat above and beside or even higher have some of their things a little burned also? Cause the fire was really quite strong and the black smoke was just like been produced profusely.

Anyway, whole of this thing looked like a drama in tv programme to me. ahah. After that, the crowd thinned and I climbed the stairs to get home.....

this is the first time i witnessed such an event. and i think the water coming out from the impeller water pump is kinda cool~
